SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIVITIES
After School Enrichment
The cost of the After School Enrichment is $5.00 per day, $25.00 per week, or $90.00 per month. All charges will be applied to the student’s school bill.
Any student not picked up by 3:00 p.m. will be required to report to After School Enrichment. When parents come to pick up their child, they will need to sign them out of the After School Enrichment. The schedule is as follows:
- 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Mandatory study hall. If the student has no homework then he or she will be required to do quiet reading.
- 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Free recreation
If parents have not picked up their child by 3:00 p.m. they will be charged $1.00 for every fifteen minutes that they are late. If parents have not picked up their child by 5:30 p.m. they will be charged $2.00 for every fifteen minutes that they are late.
Chapel
Elementary chapel is held twice a week and is split into two divisions: lower elementary (K-3rd grade) / upper elementary (4th-6th grade).
Junior High / Senior High are combined for chapel. Chapel is once a week and is held on Friday.
Speakers are recruited from our faculty and local pastors or youth pastors. Speakers are to use the time to share from the Bible what the Lord has led them to share.

Board of Directors Award
Student Body Leadership Team (SBLT)
Student Body Leadership Team (SBLT) is the student governing body of the school. The members of the team are elected in May, and their duties include planning student body meetings and special activities throughout the year. They are encouraged to set the spiritual tone for the rest of the student body.
In order to serve on SBLT a student must maintain a 3.0 academic average. They must attend church on a regular basis and have a positive Christian testimony among the faculty and students.
Extracurricular Activities
Christian Liberty students have a wide variety of programs for students of all ages. clubs include Debate Team, Japanese Club, and Model United Nations. Most Junior and Senior High students participate in the Spring Play. The mainland Heritage Tour (aka Historical Tour) is a highlight for the High School students.
Students have the opportunity to compete in a variety of interscholastic Junior and Senior High School sports during the course of the year. Elementary teams compete in Hawaii County Parks and Recreation Department leagues. Intramural soccer allows for fun and fellowship between staff, students, and alumni.

Historical Trip 
Every two years the CLS High School takes a historical tour to the East Coast of the United States or the Midwest. This ten-day trip includes tours to: Charleston, South Carolina, Williamsburg, Virginia, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, Chicago, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and New York City. We discuss history from the founding of our country to current political issues being debated on Capitol Hill. The trip is usually taken in the spring of every even-numbered year. Students are expected to raise their own funds for this trip.
In order to participate in the historical tour a student must maintain a 2.0 academic average with no “F”s. The student must not have had a suspension during the course of the year.

Harvest Fair

Veteran's Day Program
This program is held on Veteran’s Day in concordance with the Harvest Fair. The program shall be held at 11:00 a.m. and will be organized by the teacher in charge.
Four to five veterans from the community shall be invited to be honored by the student body. A Certificate of Appreciation, lei, and an American Flag shall be given to each veteran.
The program shall consist of songs and speeches presented by different classes appointed by the teacher in charge of the program. The program shall last no more than sixty minutes. At the end of the program taps shall play and a moment of silence observed for those who have fallen in combat.
Once the program is closed in prayer each class will file through to greet the veterans on the way out of the program.

Plays / Dramas / Speech
Annual High School Production — This production shall be performed in March of each year. It will be a full-lengthdramaticproduction with a Biblical message. Both students and faculty shall be allowed to participate. This program exists to provide an avenue to glorifyJesus Christ in the eyes of the community. We seek to provide the highest possible quality and authenticity to those that attend.
Elementary Spring Speech Festival — Every elementary student shall be required to participate in the Spring Speech Festival. Students may choose to perform an individual piece, or they may choose to perform a duet.
Student Body — Student Body shall be once a month and shall be under the direction of the Student Body Leadership Team and their sponsor.
Elementary Fall Poetry Program — The program is held in November of each year. Each elementary student shall memorize a selection of poetry and perform their selection at the Program.
